Analysis and simulation of optimized micro-grid

The centralized power grid bears a heavy burden in time when consumers expect an uninterrupted reliable supply, reduction carbon emissions, increased efficiency within the national grid, and supplied to remote communities. One such structure is used implement this type of control that based on small- scale Distributed Generation (DGs), at single house or small building level: micro-grid (μG). A μG autonomous, sustainable hybrid framework uses renewable non-renewable energy resources supply continuous electricity load. Taking scenario into account, three sources generation have been utilized proposed are Photovoltaic (PV) array, Fuel Cell (FC), Wind Turbine (WT) research paper. active reactive all has controlled using various controllers, i.e., integral, proportional-integral, proportional derivative, integral fractional-order Fractional Order Proportional Integral Derivative (FOPID), Sliding Mode Controller (SMC). An advanced optimization technique Genetic Algorithm (GA) Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm optimize these controllers. square error taken as objective function for both algorithms. Finally, graphical tabular comparative analysis optimized controllers along with their parameters performance indexes evaluated find best optimal solution MATLAB/Simulink. SMC surpassed other stability analysis. Moreover, smart switching introduced between following load demand cost system operate more economically. case study performed which switch available resource any fault side provide attached loads.
